Raziz Menulis Tentang Masyarakat Sivil

Raziz Writes About RNAA and The Railwaymen Union of Malaysia

It eludes me of why the Railwaymen Union of Malaysia (RUM) decided to go against the Railway Network Access Agreement (RNAA) aggressively without any considerations of the benefits.

First, they addressed that through the RNAA, 4,000 KTMBs' workers would lose their job because RNAA leads towards the separation of business conduct between the services operation and the maintenance of railway which includes assets, procurement and other non-customer related operations. Therefore, in their opinion, once the separation taken place the workers whom are now under KTMB's contract would be terminated.

The Deputy Minister of Transport himself had given his commitment that none of those workers whom are affected by the RNAA would be terminated. They will be absorbed or seconded to subsidiary companies which in the end belongs to the KTMB itself and KTMB will remain a government owned corporation.

Raziz Writes About MH370

Exactly three years ago, one Malaysia Airlines Flight coded MH370 scheduled to arrive to Beijing Capital International Airport from Kuala Lumpur International Airport carrying 15 Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers of various nationality vanished from air traffic controller radar while mid-flight.

Until today, it has not been found yet.

It was a mystery to all.

Raziz Writes About Dego Ride

There has not been much commotion when the Ministry of Transport decided to ban Dego Ride. But this one DAP fellow came out and try to be this Dego Ride hero.

His name is Rajiv Rishyakaran, a first-term member of the Selangor State Assembly from the Democratic Action Party, representing the state seat of Bukit Gasing.

Of course, this is nothing more than a populist approach trying to win the hearts of these Dego Ride operators and users. He tried to champion this issue without knowing the exact reason why this ban is in place.

Dego Ride for those who are not particularly familiar with it is an exact replicate of Uber or Grab Car but instead of cars, they are using motorcycles (Like the Indonesian ojek).

Raziz Writes About Shinkansen

The Japanese Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism came to give their courtesy call to my boss, Datuk Aziz Kaprawi, the Deputy Transport Minister just now.

Why they have come to visit us?

Well, we are about to receive the legendary Shinkansen (bullet train) right here in Malaysia! (If they win the open international tender that is)

The high speed rail (HSR) project announced by our Prime Minister has certainly made an impact throughout the world when he announced Malaysia is going for HSR project from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
